Modelling ,Physical Activity and Aging

Have you ever heard the words
"Do as I say and not as I do"?

Does the modeling of others motivate you to actively engage in physical activity? Do you follow the examples of others around you? Research tells us that physical inactivity is the #1 Risk Factor in Canada and the U.S. A. for our bodies to age poorly. It comes before obesity, which makes sense right? Another fact to consider: 1 in 2 older adults will have diabetes by the time they reach 75. Along with this, inactive bodies are a great breeding ground for Diabetes to take over. Learned behavior can be a risk factor but does it stop us from changing our style and getting active? Tell me what you think. Can Canada get active before it is too late?
